After leaving Estonia in 2008 and living in Latvia, the Czech Republic, and Germany, I still return to Tallinn several times a year to visit my parents and friends and to reconnect with the beloved landscapes of my childhood.

The physical process of film photography amazes me - the light going through the lens and altering the chemicals in the film, producing an interplay of light, shadow and color. The print in this context is a further manifestation of the element of the world I tried to capture into material form, which is extremely satisfying.
What I also appreciate about print is that it invites you to take a pause from the crazy digital world, look away from the screen, slow down and become more grounded. You can't just quickly scroll through the pages as you do in social media feeds.
